| This must be a bug, surely. All these superlarge stars are 300 solar masses exactly. From memory, stars heavier than 80 solar masses aren't thought to ever get cooler than yellow at any point during their evolution.

Weird, maybe 300 solar masses is the upper limit for the mass of a star.

Seems probable. The largest star found in 0.9.7.3 (the version I'm still running), is to the extent of my knowledge still 15.993 AU. I believe the largest star known "IRL" is also around this size. In the next version (0.974) there are suddenly stars more than 10 times this diameter ?

I have found my largest star ever.
This is a zirconium star that is 33.93 AU.
RS 0-7-936197-1209-118-0-0-81 A
To the left if you pay attention is a white hypergiant over 1 AU for scale.

| Found a star that's 54.40 AU in diameter. I think I win. Red luminous supergiant, 300 solar masses, pretty frickin big. Trying to figure out how to upload a screenshot, will do that as soon as possible.

| I just broke the record for the biggest star ever found in SE. It has a radius/diameter of 17,919 Suns, breaking the previous record of 17,888. The ID is 6665-4090-0-0-3825. and it can be found in the galaxy NGC 4889. (You know, the one with a whole bunch of other smaller galaxies around it.)

| I broke Plazasta's record. My star has a radius/diameter of 17,937 Suns. (Plazasta's star was 17,933)

6/25/2016: 16,277 Suns
8/28/2016: 17,682 Suns (improvement of 1,405)
9/7/2016: 17,888 Suns (improvement of 206)
11/25/2016: 17,919 Suns (improvement of 31)
11/28/2016: 17,933 Suns (improvement of 14)
1/27/2017: 17,937 Suns (improvement of 4)

| Just broke the record again, does not confirm that a star with a diameter of 18000 sun diameters is possible, but it does achieve a milestone: it has a diameter of 167 AU or 17950 sun diameters (for Ian07: that is an improvement of 13 from your record, so there is still hope)

Well, at least we reached 167 AU. And you're right, there is still a bit of hope left for us to reach 18,000 Suns.
I really wish the star browser had extra options, allowing you to search for M9.9 stars that are either class Iab or Ib.
The ID for plazasta's star, by the way, is RS 0-0-0-1016-18121-0-0-178, in case you're too lazy to open the link and type it out.
